Land Sale for Notable Retailers McDonald’s & Starbucks at the Terraces at Suwanee Gateway

Press Release by Stratford Land

Stratford Land, a Dallas-based land investment company, accounted that it recently closed two land sales at the Terraces at Suwanee Gateway, in Suwanee, Ga., for retail giants McDonald’s and Starbucks Coffee Company. As part of Suwanee’s commercial district at Lawrenceville Road and I-85, Suwanee Gateway is poised to be a vibrant mixed-use commercial center and distinctive entryway into the City of Suwanee.

“We are excited to bring strong names like Starbucks and McDonald’s to the Terraces at Suwanee Gateway,” said David Moore, senior investment manager for Stratford Land. “We believe both operators will help bring the city’s vision of great mixed use developments, diverse types of businesses, and a commitment to maintaining a high quality of life for the community”.

The Terraces Suwanee Gateway enjoys unsurpassed access and visibility, with I-85 on its eastern side and primary four-lane thoroughfares Satellite Boulevard, Lawrenceville Suwanee Highway, McGinnis Ferry Road, on its northern, eastern and western borders respectively.

Suwanee Gateway’s initial infrastructure and master planning began in 2006, but development stalled as commercial real estate markets declined. Stratford Land acquired 113 acres at Suwanee Gateway in two purchases occurring in 2010 and 2011. Since that time, Stratford has sold land for the 345 unit apartment community; Salude, a 64-bed skilled nursing facility; and a site for a future data center. Activity in the development continues to be strong with more sales scheduled in 2015 and early 2016.
